What is the NFBC plan?
The National Family Benefit Scheme (NFBS) was launched under the National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP) and is implemented by the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India .
The scheme aims to provide immediate financial relief to Below Poverty Line (BPL) families who lose their main source of livelihood due to natural or accidental death . Eligibility criteria for NFBC scheme

How to apply for the NFBC scheme
The application process is simple and is handled through local government offices.
Step-by-step application process:

Visit your Mandal/Taluk/Tehsildar office

Collect the NFBS application form .

Fill in all the required details and attach the necessary documents.

Submit the application to the Tahsildar.

The application will be reviewed by the revenue officials and IKP (Indira Kranti Patham) .

After verification, it is sent to the Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO) and then to the SERP CEO for approval .

After approval, ₹20,000 will be directly deposited into the beneficiary’s bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) .
