SSP Scholarship 2026: This is very important information for thousands of students and parents of Karnataka. The date for applying for the scholarship offered through the SSP Scholarship (State Scholarship Portal) of the Karnataka Government has been extended till the last day of January 2026 .
The government has implemented this scheme with the aim of ensuring that children’s education does not stop due to lack of funds. Those who have not already applied or those who are pending due to technical reasons can take advantage of this extension.
What is SSP Scholarship?
SSP (State Scholarship Portal) is the official scholarship portal of the Government of Karnataka .
It operates under Samagra Shikshana Karnataka and various social welfare departments.
Through this portal:
- SC / ST
- OBC / Backward Class
- Minorities
- Brahmin community
- EWS Category
Their students are provided scholarships from school to higher education .

SSP Scholarship 2025–26: Who is eligible?
The following qualifications are required to apply for this scheme:
1️⃣Educational Qualification
- 1st to 10th grade – School students
- PUC (1st & 2nd)
- Diploma / ITI
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree
- Engineering / Medical / Nursing
👉The student must be studying in a government or aided educational institution .
2️⃣Income limit
- Annual family income should be within ₹2.5 lakh
(department-wise income limit may vary for some categories)
3️⃣Community Qualification
- SC / ST
- OBC / Backward Class
- Minorities
- Brahmin community
👉Valid caste/category certificate is mandatory.
SSP Scholarship Benefits – Class-wise
The amount of money available under the SSP Scholarship varies according to the class and course :
▶️Grades 1 to 8
- ₹500 – ₹1,000 (annual)
- Help with books, notebooks
▶️9th and 10th grade
- ₹3,000 – ₹5,000
- Assistance with school fees and examination costs
▶️PUC (1st & 2nd)
- ₹10,000 – ₹15,000
- Big support for college fees
▶️Higher Education (Diploma / Degree / Engineering / Medical)
- Up to ₹20,000
- Assistance with tuition fees and other expenses
👉 All money will be deposited directly into the bank account through DBT.
SSP Scholarship Application Procedure (Online)
Applying is very simple:
1️⃣ Visit ssp.karnataka.gov.in
2️⃣ and click on “Student Login / New Registration”
3️⃣Register through Aadhaar number, Mobile OTP
4️⃣and login – select “Apply Scholarship”
5️⃣and fill these details:
- Student details
- School/College Information
- Caste and income details
- Bank account information
6️⃣Upload the required documents and
7️⃣submit the final submission.
👉The money will be deposited within 30–45 days after submitting the application .
