Crop relief: Big relief for farmers who suffered crop losses due to heavy rains and floods. The state government has started depositing the compensation directly into the bank accounts of farmers. The long wait is finally over and thousands of crores of rupees have already reached the eligible farmers.
In a major announcement made during the Belgaum Assembly session , Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda confirmed that ₹2,249 crore has been deposited in the bank accounts of 14.21 lakh farmers who were affected by crop damage during the 2025-26 monsoon season .
₹2,249 crore released for crop loss compensation
This is a major financial relief initiative of the state government. The relief amount has been released under the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system, which ensures the following:

Farmers do not need to visit banks or government offices to check whether the money has been deposited . They can easily check the payment status using a mobile phone within a few minutes.
Step-by-step guide to check payment status

On the home page, click on “Village wise list” or “Payment status”.

Enter the following details:

Year: 2025–26
-
Season: Kharif (Monsoon)

Disaster Type: Flood / Heavy Rain

Select your district, taluk, hobli and village.

Click on “Get Report”
You will immediately see:

List of beneficiaries in your village
-
Compensation amount has been deposited.

Payment status linked to your name
Make sure your name is on the list.
What if the money hasn’t been deposited yet?
Don’t worry if your name appears in the list of beneficiaries but the amount has not been deposited into your bank account.
What you need to do:

Check if your bank account is linked with Aadhaar (NPCI mapping).

Visit your nearest Farmer Contact Center (Farmer Contact Center) or Village Accountant (VA).

In many cases, outstanding payments are credited within 2-3 business days.
The DBT process is still ongoing and the remaining eligible farmers will receive the amount soon.
Important note for farmers

This payment is a crop loss compensation (input subsidy) provided by the state government.

This is not crop insurance.

Eligible farmers can get both crop insurance and this compensation.
