How to download your driving license on mobile?

Method 1: Via DigiLocker (DigiLocker) App (most secure)

Download the DigiLocker app from the Google Play Store and log in using your Aadhaar card.

Type Driving License in the ‘Search’ bar and select ‘Ministry of Road Transport and Highways’.

Enter your DL number and click ‘Get Document’.

Now your digital driving license will be downloaded. As per the IT Act, this must be accepted by the police across India.

Visit the official website of the Central Government sarathi.parivahan.gov.in .

Step 1: Obtaining a Learner’s License (LL)

Go to the website sarathi.parivahan.gov.in and select “Application for New Learner’s License”.

Step 2: Waiting period

As per the rules, you are eligible to apply for a Permanent Driving License (Permanent DL) only after 30 days of getting your Learner’s License (LL).
Step 3: Apply for Permanent License and RTO Test

After 30 days, you must apply by clicking on “Application for New Driving License” on the same website.

You need to book a slot for a date and time that is comfortable for you to go to the RTO office .

On the scheduled day, you must visit the respective RTO track with your own vehicle and drive the vehicle in front of the Motor Vehicle Inspector (MVI) there (Driving Test).

Once you pass the driving test, the RTO officials will approve your application online.
